### Our Story

Like many others, our story starts with when in 1984, our family escaped the horrors of the Khmer Rouge, seeking refuge and a new beginning in the United States. With courage and resilience, my grandmother and her ten children made the journey to Maine, where we began to rebuild our lives. Today, most of our family still calls Maine home, cherishing the memories and traditions that have shaped our journey.

Our roots trace back to Battambang, Cambodia, a region renowned for its rich culinary heritage. From a young age, we were surrounded by the rich aromas and flavors of Cambodian cuisine.

Over the years, friends and neighbors would often marvel at the incredible taste of our food, frequently asking if we sold our famous beef sticks. Though the idea seemed daunting at first, the persistent encouragement and praise inspired us to take a leap of faith.

Today, we are excited to share our cherished family recipes with the world through our business, Battambang Bistro. Our beef sticks, infused with the authentic flavors of Cambodian spices and lemongrass, are a testament to our heritage and our love for cooking. Each bite tells a story of survival, resilience, and the unbreakable bond of family.
