Ingredients:
For the Marinade:
beef (thinly sliced, flank steak or sirloin works best)
chili paste or chili oil (adjust to your spice preference)
garlic powder
chicken powder (or chicken bouillon)
salt
sugar
olive oil
msg
lemongrass paste
Skewers (soaked in water for 30 minutes if using wooden skewers)
Instructions:
Prepare the Beef: Slice your beef into thin strips, approximately 3-4 inches long. Thin slices ensure even cooking and allow the marinade to penetrate fully.
Create the Marinade: In a large bowl, mix the chili paste, garlic powder, chicken powder, salt, sugar, olive oil, MSG, and lemongrass paste. Stir until well combined.
Marinate the Beef: Add the sliced beef to the marinade, ensuring each piece is thoroughly coated. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 2 hours (overnight is ideal for a more robust flavor).
Skewer the Beef: Thread the marinated beef onto your skewers. Do not overcrowd the meat, as this helps the beef cook evenly.
Grill to Perfection: Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Place the skewers on the grill and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side or until the beef is beautifully charred and cooked. The meat should remain tender and juicy with a slightly crispy exterior.
